We're delighted to share that DotCentric has been awarded Accessible Ecommerce Website of the Year at the UK Ecommerce Awards 2025, for our work with Karndean Designflooring.

It's a proud moment for our team and a powerful reminder that accessibility is fundamental to creating digital experiences that work for everyone.

At DotCentric, we’ve developed a rigorous approach to auditing and implementing W3C's Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG). This depth of focus enables us to deliver enterprise websites and applications that meet compliance requirements and deliver inclusive user experiences.

Through collaboration and learning from organisations like the Government Digital Service (GDS), Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC) and Allyant, we've experienced first-hand that successful accessibility starts with a shift-left approach – addressing it from the earliest stages of a project rather than treating it as a final checklist before launch. We've also learned that automated testing alone is not enough. These tools typically detect only 20–30% of accessibility issues which is why we combine them with manual testing to uncover the barriers that automation often misses. This deeper, more human-centred approach is essential to ensuring digital experiences are truly inclusive in practice.

If you're looking to meet WCAG 2.2 AA compliance, learn more about the European Accessibility Act or want to understand how WCAG 3.0 will shape the future of inclusive design, we would love to talk.
